Drummer Jon Wacker is also a percussionist prof at ECU. He’s one of Steve Creech’s most often used accompanists at RAF and has also played with Milt Hinton, Clark Terry, Arturo Sandoval, Plas Johnson, Harry Allen, and Dick Hyman among many others.
He’s also played classical with the North Carolina Symphony, Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, Charleston Symphony Orchestra, Reno Philharmonic and other chamber orchestra around the US. His articles on jazz drumming and orchestral percussion have been published in Modern Drummer and Percussive Notes.
