Cash, Dennis

Dennis Cash played RAF first as part of Dillon & Cash performing traditional blues and old-time music and then a couple of times with Carolina Sonshine.

Cash, one of the leading proponents of the legendary Carter Family’s music, was inducted into the Old-Time Country Music Hall of Fame in 2014. He lives in Autryville, NC and maintains an active Facebook page.

Dillon, a Mississippi blues ambassador, relocated to North Carolina where he joined up with Cash, who also co-founded the bluegrass gospel band Carolina Sonshine. That happened after Cash was transferred to Fayetteville, where he met Sonshine’s other co-founder, Wayne Ratley; the two of them soon met Danny Stanley, and the nucleus of the band was there.
