Fukashimau, Isam

Japanese guitarist Fukashimau played RAF with Franco Funicello in June 2007. When the band left Fountain late on a Thursday night–after all had showered, for the first time in a couple of days (they’d spent the previous night at a rest stop at Norfolk and the one prior sleeping on a beach near Myrtle)–in an old Econoline van with no a.c., I gave Isam my phone number and asked him to call should they break down before Richmond–headed up I-95–en route to their next show, at Washington, DC.
