What fun in Fountain for the Unknown Tongues’ high-energy show that especially delighted Myrtle Wooten, who one night wouldn’t give Barbara back her washboard.
The band is centered around the husband-wife duo of Barbara Garrity-Blake and Brian Blake. In addition to being a terrific singer, Barbara is also a respected scholar and author of a couple of books on coastal fisheries, is a former ECU anthropology prof, and was the recipient of the 2013 Brown-Hudson Award.
