Southern Storm was formed in 1982, performing since then classic honky-tonk country music throughout East Carolina.
When they played RAF in May 2009, their lineup included Butch Whaley on drums; Lynn Parker on lead guitar and vocals; Dale Borden on bass; June Whaley on lead and harmony vocals; Tim Tyner on steel guitar and vocals; and Don Whaley on rhythm guitar and vocals. Soundman Rick Watson also stepped in to play guitar and sing several songs.
