Christmas spirit abounds in Twisted Knot’s Celtic celebration in song.
Based in Greenville, they’re one of our most popular attractions.
Twisted Knot started out informally, performing as part of the St. James Jammers, before Mamie Dixon organized them around the idea of a Celtic music band, which fits naturally with two of our culture’s grandest festivals, Christmas and St. Patrick’s Day. Band founder Dixon plays fiddle, mandolin, and percussions; lead singer & emcee Rebecca Hall plays keyboards; Jim Joseph and Sylvia Bjorkman play guitars–he also sings several songs; Catherine Walker plays soprano recorder; and Donna Davis plays bass and sings lead and harmony.
Family fun–under 12 always free-in a venue that’s as much museum as concert hall: built in 1918, RAF anchors Town of Fountain’s historic district as listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
Links to purchase advance seats–recommended for this show–are below the photos.
