B-1 was honored with this historic marker placed at the intersection of Franklin Street and Roberson Street in Chapel Hill on May 27, 2017–exactly 75 years to the date from when the bandsmen enlisted at Raleigh. During their 19 months in Chapel Hill, they would have marched past this spot at least twice a day on their way to and from work on the UNC campus.
