Russ Varnell and Too Country has been one of the most popular country music acts in East Carolina for the last decade. Varnell, of Black Creek, is noted for his impeccable covers of country classics by the likes of Merle Haggard, George Jones, and Buck Owens. 

“Russ also has the best country music wardrobe around,” said Albright. “He’s got some really classic historic suits. You never know which one he’s going to pull out for his Fountain shows.”

“And he’s always got a really tight band with him,” added Albright.
