Poets Laureate Celebration

Jaki, who lives in Mebane, is North Carolina’s newest poet laureate. Shelby, from McGee’s Crossroads, is a longtime Fountain favorite as a singer, with his wife, Nin, and he also served as our state’s 8th poet laureate. Together, they presented a remarkable program of original poems to a large and enthusiastic audience.
