This duet of friends recently debuted their band at the Ayden Historical Society’s barbecue exhibit opening.

August Meyer plays banjo and rhythm guitar. He’s a sophomore at Ayden-Grifton High School, where participates on the quiz bowl and tennis teams. He enjoys playing bluegrass and folk tunes on his banjo, and he is influenced especially by Steve Martin’s banjo skills. 

Lead guitarist and bassist Jayden Peszco is a junior at Ayden-Grifton High School. He also enjoys theater and participates in multiple clubs at his school.  Musically, he likes playing psychedelic rock and his biggest influence for learning guitar has been Jimi Hendrix.

Cooper Sutton also plays guitar with the band but will not be at this evening’s performance.
