Malpass Brothers Saturday Night, Reserved Seats Sold Out

[Fountain, NC] The Malpass Brothers return to Fountain General Store tomorrow night for a concert of traditional country and bluegrass music.

Chris and Taylor Malpass have been playing and singing the old songs since they were young boys, and they’ve been performing regularly at Fountain General Store a couple of times a year for 12 years. “As usual, we’re sold out of reserved seats for these guys,” said Alex Albright, Fountain General Store proprietor. “We’ll have a few general admission seats avaialbe on a first-come basis.”

Both Malpasses share singing lead and harmony. Chris also plays acoustic guitar, and Taylor plays acoustic and electric guitars and mandolin. “They do the Louvin Brothers better than anyone we’ve ever hosted,” added Albright. “And they’ve become excellent songwriters in their own right.”

Also in the band are Chris Malpass, Sr., who plays bass, and Clyde Mattocks, who plays pedal steel guitar.
