The Hey Brothers’ February show at Fountain was one of the year’s best, said Alex Albright, Fountain General proprietor: “They’ve got outstanding pickers and beautiful 3-part harmonies that combine for a very entertaining show. This isn’t an easy band to get booked because the members are all so active in other groups, but we’re glad to finally have them back in town again.”

Anthony Campbell, of Cary, plays guitar and sings lead and tenor. John Dudley, of Zebulon, plays banjo and sings baritone. Brian English, of Durham, plays fiddle and sings bass. Tim Lee, of Cary, plays mandolin and sings lead and tenor. Keith Sykes, of Pittsboro, plays bass and sings lead.

Individually, the bandmates have performed or currently perform with several Triangle-based bluegrass bands, including Lost County 35, the Kudzu Ramblers, Running South, the Rye Mountain Boys, Damascus Ridge, the String Machine, and the Kudzu Ramblers.

“This’ll be a great show to close out our bluegrass season with,” added Albright.
