Lightnin’ Wells presents a timeline of Emma Dupree’s life in song at our 8th annual celebration of her life and legacy as Fountain’s beloved herbalist.

As always, we’ll recognize Aunt Emma’s family in attendance and hear from folks who still recall some of her remedied. 

Emma Dupree was an original Earth Day champion long before anyone thought of that designation for a certain day.

Watch this 1978 documentary that follows her around her Fountain backyard with some ECU medical students. This wonderful film was made by Walter Shepherd, who was our featured speaker at last year’s Emma D-Day, and you can see much of his excellent presentation here.
