Stephenson Brothers & Linda

Location: R.A. Fountain

From our promo for this show:

The Stephenson Brothers and Linda return to Fountain General Store Friday night for a concert of classic bluegrass and bluegrass gospel music.

The Stephenson Brothers and Linda have built a strong fan base in the region since the release in 2004 of their debut CD, Sing the Old Songs. They were the first band to perform at Fountain General Store, at its November 2004 grand opening, which doubled as a CD release party for the Stephensons.

The band is built around the nucleus of brother Paul, proprietor of Stephenson’s Barbecue outside of Benson; Marshall, the popular bluegrass impresario and host of the syndicated radio and television programs The Bluegrass Train; and Shelby, who is also one of the state’s best known poets, along with his wife, Linda.

Also performing with the Stephensons will be Mike Langdon on bass and, Marshall promises, a couple of surprise players.
