Damascus Ridge

Location: R.A. Fountain

Damascus Ridge is what you get when some of North Carolina’s finest pickers create a bluegrass gospel band. Formed in 2008, they bring with them tonight a  second generation player, Cameron Taylor, who succeeded his dad as bassist in 2021. He lives in Raleigh.

Frank King, guitarist and vocalist, writes many of the band’s original songs. He lives in Washington.

Multi-instrumentalist Joe Pessolano plays mainly mandolin and Dobro in this ensemble and helps with the singing. He lives in Willow Spring.

Fiddler Chris Hill, originally from Greene County, lives in Kinston.

And John Dudley is one of the best banjo pickers we’ve had the great pleasure of hosting.

L to R: Chris Hill, Cameron Taylor, Frank King, Joe Pessolano, John Dudley
