[Fountain, NC] Carolina Sonshine, one of the best bluegrass gospel bands in the Southeast, performs at Fountain General Store for the first time this coming Saturday evening. This quartet of veteran musicians is popular at churches, festivals, and private parties throughout the region.

Danny Stanley, of Loris, SC, sings lead and plays guitar, fiddle, dobro, harmonica, and mandolin. He played with his family band, the Stanleys, for 18 years.

Dennis Cash, who lives in Lumber Bridge, NC, plays mandolin, guitar, and autoharp, and sings tenor and lead. Tom Langdon, of Garner, plays banjo, mandolin, and Scruggs-style guitar. Wayne Ratley, of Fayetteville, plays acoustic bass.

Carolina Sonshine’s CD The Country Gentlemen was recorded for MasterShield Records of Luray, Va., which also has released recordings by Dean Sapp, Harvest Wind, and David Coffey. Carolina Sonshine’s April 15 show begins at 7:30. General admission is $7.
