Charlotte Grimes

Charlotte Grimes, from Washington, NC, is a Biology major with a minor in Coastal and Marine Studies in the East Carolina University Honors College. After graduation, she hopes to complete a master’s degree and then attend either law or vet school, with the ultimate goal of either becoming an environmental lawyer or a veterinarian. 

She was drawn to and excited by this internship because it is an opportunity to explore a few of her primary interests and hobbies. Writing is an activity she greatly enjoys, and she is also a lover of bluegrass, traditional, and Americana music. Her love of these genres of music was cultivated over ten years of attending MerleFest in Wilkesboro. Creating content for the R.A. Fountain General Store website has allowed her to expand and improve her writing skills while writing about one of her favorite topics, good music.

Besides writing and listening to music, some of her favorite pastimes are reading and spending time outdoors with her dogs. She also enjoys baking, gardening, and traveling.
