Established in 1972, Washington Crab is the best place to get fresh, local Carolina seafood.  Seafood is caught fresh every morning by North Carolina fishermen and can be picked up from Washington Crab or ordered before 2pm for next day delivery to your home. Perhaps the best variety of seafood offered of anywhere around, Washington Crab’s daily selection includes shrimp, blue crab, oysters (in shell and shucked), clams, crab legs and cakes, lobsters, and steam pots.  Seasonal selections additionally include soft blue crab, scallops, flounder, salmon, tilapia, tuna, hybrid striped bass, speckled trout, Spanish mackerel, snapper, spot, butterfish, tilefish, and catfish.

If you aren’t an expert at cooking your own fish, or simply want to sit back and enjoy the food while someone else does the cooking, Washington Crab also has two restaurant locations: one in Washington and one in Greenville.  The menu can be viewed here.  While seafood is obviously the main attraction, if you aren’t a fan of seafood or have someone who isn’t a fan in your party, the chicken tacos are a tasty non-seafood option.  The Washington location, which looks like it should be beside a sandy beach somewhere, is a particularly great place for a casual lunch or dinner.
