Willow Branch: bluegrass at its best

It’s been a while since we hosted Willow Branch, the Virginia based bluegrass band that features excellent picking, sweet harmonies, and an impressive mix of original and traditional bluegrass and bluegrass gospel.

The band features Gayle Noble, bass fiddle, & her husband, Robert Noble, banjo, from Scottsville, VA; Doug McDonald, mandolin, from Dunn; and guitarist Alan Mullen–formerly of the Grass Cats amog other excellent bluegrass bands–from Youngsville, NC, and for tonight’s show–the fantastic fiddler Clifton Preddy, of Wilton. Gayle reports they’ve “added some great high-energy tunes to our sets.”
