Still Mountain Railroad formed out of friendships made at the legendary Bluegrass Barn in Wilson.

John White on guitar and Keith Gaster on banjo found similar passions for roots music and traditional bluegrass at the Barn’s Tuesday jams, which led to forming the band in 2018. They’re joined by Ricky Stroud on mandolin–50 years of picking!–Greg Penny on upright bass, and Asa Roberson on fiddle.
