Revonda Roberts & Harvest Wind

Location: R.A. Fountain

For Roberts’ first Fountain show, here’s what we said:

[Fountain, NC] Revonda Roberts and Harvest Wind bring their dynamic bluegrass show to Fountain General Store this Saturday night. From Statesville, Harvest Wind performs original and classic bluegrass and bluegrass gospel.

The band has released two CDs, one on Lanon Records of Nashville, Tenn., on which IIIrd Thyme Out records, and the other on MasterShield Records of Luray, Va., on which Carolina Sonshine records.

Behind Roberts’ lead singing and fiddling, Harvest Wind has become a popular attraction at churches and bluegrass festivals throughout the southeast. Their original song “I’m Going Down to the Southland” was a Hot Pick for April 2006 in Bluegrass Now magazine.

The band features tight harmony and excellent musicianship from Roberts and Lonnie Roberts on mandolin, Justin Bowles on banjo and guitar, Robert McIntosh on bass, and Brad Wood on guitar.

Harvest Wind’s May 6 concert begins at 7:30. General admission is $5.
