Revelators Macabre

Location: R.A. Fountain

from our promo for this concert

The Revelators Macabre is a collection of Greenville-based musicians whose histories of playing music with each other go back to the 1970s. “They put on a very memorable show last time the got a Halloween concert together,” said Albright. “A parade of ghouls down Main Street to the post office for a public howling? I mean, who could forget that?”

This year’s Revelators features singers Mike Hamer on Casio keyboard, Sue Luddeke and Bill Redding on guitar, Nathan Maxwell on viola, Melody Maxwell on violin, Megan Maxwell on bass, and Bob Clyde on harmonica. Bob Aiken will be on drums, and Jim Watson on accordion.

Bobbing for apples will go on all evening. Costume contests for kids and adults will be judged at intermission, after the public howling. Prizes for the costume contests are gift certificates and merchandise from Fountain General Store: for adults, $50, $25, $10; and for children, $20, $10, $5.

The Revelators Macabre Halloween special on October 31 begins at 7:30. General admission is $8.50; reserved seats, $11. Good kids are admitted free.
