The Marshall Brown Bluegrass Band features John Duncan on banjo, Jacob Brewer on bass, Graham Brewer on mandolin, and Marshall Brown on lead vocals and guitar. Each has a unique background of musical influences, but they share a love of traditional bluegrass music. Tonight’s show will feature tunes by many of those influences, spanning from first-generation bluegrassers like Bill Monroe and the Stanley Brothers, through the 1960s with acts like the Kentucky Colonels and Red Allen, up to Tony Rice and the Bluegrass Album Band.
The Marshall Brown Bluegrass Band highlights instrumentation as well as the emotionally charged harmonies of traditional bluegrass music. Join them for a night of traditional bluegrass and originals off Marshall Brown’s debut album. They’re doing release shows in Wilmington, at Ed’s and Bourgie Nights, prior to their RAF date.
