Mac McRoy & South Point

Hundreds of bicyclers & a morning bluegrass show!

Location: R.A. Fountain

Friday morning downtown Fountain, 600-800 bicyclers headed to the beach, and a free bluegrass concert with Big Mac McRoy’s latest bluegrass project.

Town of Fountain is an official rest stop on this year’s Mountains to the Coast bicycling experience. The riders will spend Thursday night in Tarboro (62′ above sea level) before striking out for the Peak o’ Pitt County (114′), where Main Street will be blocked off for our welcoming party.

Picking for the bikers this morning will be lead singer and guitarist Mac McRoy, with Mary Carver McRoy on high lonesome harmonies and mandolin; Mitch Mitchell on banjo and guitar; Steven Clark on upright bass and baritone vocals; and a couple of guest performers.

Big Mac & South Point will also return to RAF for a featured Saturday night show on November 18.
