Two solo acts in one evening, both represented by Black Oak: Grace, from Alabama via Austin, Texas, and Robby, who’s working out of Nashville, Tennessee.

Robby’s been touring & recording for over two decades. His music is “reminiscent of Tom Waits or Jim Croce with the graceful vocal resonance of James Taylor.” Grace plays “a little bit of folk, a little bit of country & Americana–with a whole lot of soul.” Among her awards for songwriting: NPR’s Mountain Stage NewSong Contest. Her songs have been recorded by Sara Hickman and Ruthie Foster, with 3 co-writes on Foster’s latest, the Grammy-nominated Healing Time (2024).
