Georgann Eubanks

Location: R.A. Fountain

We helped Georgann Eubanks celebrate publication of her latest book, Literary Trails of Eastern North Carolina.

from our promo for this event:

Georgann’s in town with some of the region’s best writers to celebrate publication of her latest book, Literary Trails of Eastern North Carolina, which is the third (and best) of her trilogy of NC lit trails guidebooks.

One of Georgann’s trails starts at RAF, and to celebrate the book’s publication & our inclusion in this historic heritage documentation, we’ve got three writers singing duos and a crew of poets and fiction writers who’ll all be sharing their talents and talking about what inspiration they’ve found in the flatlands of East Carolina.

Musical guests: Shelby & Linda Stephenson; half of the Near Myths–Wilson Jim Clark & Katy Adams; and a special reunion performance from See You Tuesday, known individually as Luke Whisnant & Erica Plouffe Lazure.

In addition to Georgann, who’ll also join in the singing, some of East Carolina’s best poets will be on hand: John Hoppenthaler, Marty Silverthorne, Malaika Albrecht, and the hollering’ poet Tony Peacock–who’s won several state hollerin’ championships. Luke & Erica will also read a couple of flash-fictions, and Wilson Jim will read some of his poems, too.

We’re glad to welcome any other regional writers to the event and invite them to bring along copies of their books to sell: one of our best wishes for this night is that those attending might recognize the value of a good autographed book as a Christmas gift! Please let us know if you’re planning on bringing along some books, so that we can be prepared for displays.
