Fret High

Location: R.A. Fountain

It was easy to see why this Kannapolis-based quartet was nominated as 2016 bluegrass gospel group of the year. They boast over 100 years of bluegrass picking experience, and their latest CD, He’s All I’ll Ever Need, includes several original and traditional bluegrass gospel songs. Their music is rooted in the traditional sounds of Flatt and Scruggs and Bill Monroe, and they feature excellent four-part harmonies. All the bandsmen–guitarist Brandon Rowe, Morris Herbert on banjo, Robert McIntosh on bass, and James Torrence on mandolin–share lead vocals.
