Donald Underwood Thompson’s free Sunday afternoon concert is in honor of Mother’s Day, and all mothers in attendance will receive a free ice cream or specialty drink.

Thompson, who lives in Kinston, performs a variety of classic American popular songs, including historically accurate delta and piedmont blues, country, vaudeville, and pop classics.

“Donald’s an excellent entertainer and storyteller, too,” said Albright.
