The Tar River Boys will perform this evening at 7:30 in a show arranged because of news that Buckler had been forced to cancel.

Tar River Boys is a bluegrass band that's been playing in one lineup or another since the early 1970s. They jam weekly in Tarboro and graciously agreed to fill in this spot.

Band members include Peter Temple, guitar, vocals; Alan "Junior" Pierce, guitar, vocals; Willie Nelms, bass, vocals; Buddy Zincone, banjo, dobro; Frances Smyth, fiddle; and Roger Sauerborn, mandolin, vocals.

Showtime is 7:30, admission is $3.
