Charlie Flowers and International Harvester will host R.A. Fountain's first
Country Music Jam this Thursday evening.|
International Harvester consists of Flowers on guitar and vocals, Larry Hilliard of Wilson on bass and steel guitar, and Daren Lee of Black Creek on drums.
"I'm pretty sure we'll have some other guests come along with us," said Flowers, who as a solo act has been a mainstay for several years in the flourishing Wilson County country and alt-country music scene. "And we're looking forward to jamming with whoever wants to join us."
R.A. Fountain proprietor Alex Albright added, "Several people who've been at our bluegrass jams have urged us to try it with country music, and I can't imagine a better entertainer in this region than Charlie Flowers to kick this off right."
The country music jams will be held about every other Thursday throughout the summer. The jam on June 23 begins at 7 p.m. Admission is free.
